Welcome to Muswell Hill Photographic Society
Here you can find out more about us and our programme for this year or visit our Members Gallery to see the wide range of great images that we produce. If you are interested in becoming a member then please contact us via the 'Join us' page.
Due to Covid-19 we had been holding some hybrid meetings, ie both in person at Friends Meeting House and on Zoom, and some Zoom-only meetings. However, now our meetings are either at Friends Meeting House, Muswell Hill or on Zoom. Please check on the Programme page on this website..
The 2024 Exhibition at Lauderdale House by the Muswell Hill Photographic Society showcases a small selection of work by its members. We are an enthusiastic group who want to show our photographs, develop our skills and share inspiration in a friendly social environment. For us as photographers printing images is important being the final process in the journey from inception to completion and thus allowing us to communicate to our audience on a more permanent basis than via digital media.
The Society normally meets most weeks of the year on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm at the Friends Meeting House, 77 Church Crescent N10 3NE. Occasionally some meetings are Zoom only.
Our members range from those new to the art and practice of photography to those who have attained recognition from the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) or the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). Most members are amateurs and images are mainly taken on digital cameras or smart phones. However other methods ranging from film, analogue and cameraless photography are explored by some members. You can expect to see around 60 framed and mounted prints in our Annual Show covering many styles and ranging across subjects from travel to portraiture, wildlife to abstracts and much more. We hope that you enjoy the work.
